Fortunately, I found this AMAZING waterslide. We got a deal on it, so we rented it for the day! We also rented a snowcone machine - the kids ate snowcones to their heart's content. It was sooooooooo much fun!
It was 16' tall and 35' long. A tarp was added at the end so the kids (and adults) could propel themselves farther (as demonstrated by Tayler in the video).
We arranged the kid party from 2-4 pm and the family party from 4-7 pm. That way everyone got to play and have fun.
We set up a pool for the little kids so that they could have fun too!
The kids (and adults) got more and more daring. Pretty soon they were going down on their stomachs, backs, with partners, backwards, etc.
Norm (my biggest kid) was right in the middle of it (he forgot he was old :) - yes he was sore the next couple of days).
I even got in on the action!
At the end the grass was sopping wet! It was so squishy that the spot at the bottom of the slide where people would land was a clear indentation of a butt print. It is normally not like this - we kicked it up a notch and had two hoses running full blast on the slide (instead of the small misters that the waterslide came with). So the grass issue is our own doing.
Now our grass is recovering - there are yellow spots and missing sections. Despite the grass, it was an AWESOME event! One that we will remember for a while to come! Shelly loved it! It surpassed her expectations!
Happy Birthday Shelly! We love you!

That looks like it was so much fun!!! Happy Birthday Shelley!!!
Now that beats the pants off a slip n slide. Totally worth the grass damage in my opinion. Major parent points for you and Norm.
Looks like it was a fun birthday party.
