We did lots of fishing during this vacation. Norm fished with the kids -

Norm fished with his dad, and Norm and Tayler fished in their float tubes.

I mostly watched! Norm and Tayler had some pretty good luck! Tayler had to clean the fish he caught by himself (this is my kid that can't scrape the pumpkin seeds from a pumpkin without almost gagging)! He did a good job, but here he is pretty white from the experience.

Shelly is starting to get into the swing with fishing. She is getting really good at casting her own line out.

Bradin doesn't have much patience when it comes to fishing.

Ryan hadn't had much luck with fishing. He hadn't caught one fish. On the last day, we took time to go fishing once more in hopes that Ryan would catch a fish. We were at Intake 2, and we were not having that great of luck. Bradin was "fishing" - probably the reason we weren't having much luck. Here is is trying to cast the line by himself - because he can be dangerous with a pole, we removed the hook.
This is the point that we were to and we decided to wrap it up and go home. Norm started to load fishing gear into the truck and then Ryan snagged a HUGE fish -

We went up to Cardinal Village to find out the statistics of the fish. It was a rainbow trout that weighed over 3 1/2 pounds -

This is how it compared to the other fish that we had caught -

Ryan went into the 'Hall of Fame' at Cardinal Village for 2009. The biggest fish that had been caught up to that point in the year at Intake 2 was 2 1/4 pounds.

Their board was updated to reflect his catch, and he was posted on their facebook page. It was a great way to end the vacation!
